Not because he wants to, but because the demon he's been pursuing ran inside, and if there's anything the devil hates is to have demons in his turf, especially the dirty cheating ones that try to take over living humans.
The church is empty, or it looks empty, and he can't immediately see where the demon sneaked off to. ]
Of all the places to hide in!
[ His voice echoes and bounces on the walls. He's very much not happy about this. ]
